Would give this 10 stars if I could!! I started acupuncture with Emily months before I got pregnant so that I would have the best foundation to start from. She helped me understand the ins and outs of my cycle and how to optimize my fertility. She supported me all throughout my pregnancy, postpartum and beyond! I owe so much credit to Aphrodite for an easy pregnancy and speedy labor/delivery.The care doesn’t stop when you get off the table. Emily and her team of amazing practitioners are always just a text away when you have questions or just need an ear to listen because you’ve been up all night with a newborn. These ladies are truly the best!

I love this magical place so much! Emily navigated me through 2 miscarriages and a really challenging pregnancy, and I have a healthy and giggly one year old now. I can’t believe it. I really would have been so lost without her deep knowledge and thoughtful guidance. Throughout my journey I felt infinitely more supported by Emily and the Aphrodite team than I did my own doctors. Aphrodite is such a calming and healing space - I tried acupuncture and cupping here for my low back pain and it’s been transformative. I never felt so relaxed as during my treatments here and I always leave feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and so much better in my body. I also got to witness many moments of the team celebrating with women who finally got pregnant after struggling with infertility and it is evident that the whole team genuinely cares and is invested in every patient‘s health and fertility journey.

I love Aphrodite Acupuncture! I started going here during pregnancy and saw Emily every time. I felt like this really helped with my pregnancy symptoms (so much nausea) in the first trimester, and with calming my nervous system with the rest of the pregnancy. She was also able to do points to help lead into labor going into my 40th week. Emily is such a warm and caring person, the start of each appointment was almost like a mini therapy session and then the acupuncture itself was a great way to zone out, have a feeling of calm, and usually get a really great nap. She’s also incredibly knowledgeable on pregnancy in general and she put my mind at ease about weird symptoms and anxieties throughout the pregnancy. I plan to come here for postpartum treatments really soon. I would highly recommend Aphrodite Acupuncture to anyone going through fertility/pregnancy!

10/10, highly recommend! Aphrodite Fertility Acupuncture and Dr. Ghoncheh have been extremely helpful to me and my family. After having a miscarriage I wanted to see someone outside of my normal medical care team to see if there was anything I should check beyond just understanding that 1 out of 4 pregnancies can end in miscarriage. I have been seeing Dr. Ghoncheh since October and am happy to say that my husband and I are expecting our first baby in one week! Before, during and after pregnancy I plan to see Dr. Ghoncheh. In the first trimester, I saw Dr. Ghoncheh once a week to help with those early intense symptoms (nausea, exhaustion, etc.). Seeing someone once a week and have those early check ins before you ever see your Dr or Nurse and talk about symptoms and to know that things are normal is very comforting. Second trimester you go once a month and then at 36 weeks you go once a week. They can even unbreach your baby (luckily I didnt need). I plan to continue after birth to help with my hormonal changes again during post partum help. You also get the most helpful and complete guide for all things baby, birth, labor, supplements, you name it related!My husband also sees Dr. Ghoncheh who has helped him immensely with GI issues!I have also referred a few friends and colleagues with perimenopause, menopause and other needs to Aphrodite. Everyone has thanked me graciously for the referral and feels like they finally got the help they needed!

This gorgeous place has been an integral part of my fertility and pregnancy journey. I started seeing Ghoncheh for weekly fertility-specific acupuncture last year. Getting acupuncture felt like I had control over some aspect of my fertility, whereas a lot of other things in that realm felt out of my control. It became a proactive, consistent part of my weekly routine. Over the months, Aphrodite became a safe place for me to express my emotions, questions, fears, excitement, and everything in between. No topic was off limits. Ghoncheh has a calming, casual presence that made me feel at ease and validated in my feelings. She focuses heavily on the insight and holistic approach of Eastern medicine, but doesn’t discount the role Western medicine plays in fertility. She helped me find a balanced approach to my fertility journey and was an advocate for me when I needed the extra push. She helped me through one of the most frustrating, then rewarding years of my life. I will forever be grateful for Ghoncheh and Aphrodite. Fertility acupuncture was beyond worth the investment, it has been a priceless asset in my pregnancy story.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this incredible place. I began seeing Emily when my partner and I first moved to San Diego and were trying to conceive. Emily and her team’s knowledge of and approach to fertility was so helpful especially when recommending local resources like OBs, pelvic floor PTs, doulas, midwives etc. The team is available for text support which was also amazing as I navigated the brand new world of IVF and felt super confused and overwhelmed. I was able to go in for weekly acupuncture during my IVF journey and felt so supported during such an emotional time. This is not just an acupuncture clinic. It’s a gorgeous community of women supporting women during a very tender time of exploring fertility and the birth world. Their prenatal and postpartum exercise classes like yoga and Pilates are outstanding as well. I’ve been seeing Tianna for prenatal massage and she’s remarkable. I’m so glad they opened a larger space to include those services to further support changing bodies before during and after childbirth. I feel very lucky to have found Emily and her team when I did. She made an overwhelming situation manageable for me and did so with kindness and care.

This place is truly one-of-a-kind! After walking through infertility for years and multiple miscarriages, these ladies met me with deep compassion, knowledge, and support. I went on to have more miscarriages while under their care and they provided me such compassionate support difficult to put into words. Both Dr. Ghoncheh and Emily are extremely knowledgeable about natural conception, IUI, and IVF and very well-connected to the local fertility community, aiding in helping me find the right doctors and support when I needed it. I have been to 5 different acupuncture places throughout my lifetime (3 of them being fertility specific) and this one is impossible to beat!!! I can’t believe it’s been a year that I have been going to Aphrodite acupuncture. I was fortunate enough to be seen by both Emily and Ghoncheh. They are both SO AMAZING, very caring and gifted acupuncturists. They have been alongside every step of my fertility journey and I cannot be more grateful for them. Emily and Ghoncheh are truly the best! Their expertise goes beyond just fertility acupuncture. They have been a huge help throughout my fertility journey. It was so worth it! Emily really took the time to listen to my experience and everything we had tried up to that point. Aphrodite acupuncture is incredible!! I was treated by Emily for a few months while starting fertility treatments. She explained everything about my diagnosis to me and walked me through all the next steps, including follow up emails with SO much helpful info. Seeing her each week was therapy for me. I had a successful egg retrieval cycle, and I truly believe her work helped. She also mentioned that she could help me get pregnant naturally, and sure enough within 4 cycles or so, I was! If you are on the fence about spending $$ for acupuncture, trust me, it’s absolutely worth seeing the team here. They will help you through your fertility struggles and be an advocate for you during the process. I moved away and am so sad I no longer see Emily for services, but absolutely will anytime I’m back in town.

Aphrodite Fertility Clinic got me pregnant within just four months of working with them! Because of their knowledge and skill, I felt very calm and hopeful throughout the entire process.I had found out in August that my AMH levels were very low for a nearly 37 year old woman, so I went to Aphrodite Fertility Clinic for support. I was confident with this team, since they have an amazing track record in getting women pregnant. They tweaked and personalized my treatment throughout, including putting me on a protocol of nutrition, supplements, and monitoring. Emily is incredible! She is extremely knowledgeable on all things fertility. Not only did she treat me for infertility with acupuncture, but she educated, informed and guided me on what labs were important to monitor, what supplements were best for my body/health history and she would check up on me after my appointments. I came to Aphrodite after one year of TTC and one failed IUI. I sat with Emily for 45 minutes where she went over all of my bloodwork and other test results. Honestly, she was more thorough than my actual OB and actually explained things at a level that I could understand. After working with her for one month and making most of the changes she suggested, we conceived on our second IUI and I’m currently expecting our first! I’ve been working with her through my entire pregnancy and she’s been amazing at answering questions, telling me what to expect and helping me manage my symptoms. She’s a wonderful human and I whole heartedly believe in the work these ladies do! Oh and I’m totally afraid of needles and she was more than happy to ease me into it :)

Aphrodite is amazing!!! I went in for period regulation and after having irregular periods my entire life, I had my first normal cycles after seeing Emily. I always looked forward to appointments because of how grounded and amazing I felt during and after. Emily equipped me with the knowledge I needed about my diet, period tracking, etc. to be able to make changes outside of acupuncture as well. Can’t recommend Aphrodite enough, whether you’re trying to get pregnant or want to get your body and hormones in balance, this is the place to go!

I am forever grateful to Ghoncheh and Aphrodite for creating an atmosphere in which I was able to feel so supported in my efforts to get pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy. I received my first acupuncture treatment withBrigitte. To start the space is incredible a littlehaven tucked in a historic building. Brigitte was sowarm and welcoming Im really grateful she wasthe person to be there with me during thisexperience. We went over my story of loss andgrief surrounded by pregnancy and how theacupuncture treatment will help. We also discussed various other issues and how each treatment will benefit me. She made sure I was so comfortable during my treatment. The treatment was unbelievable, a state of full relaxation while feeling a sense of heaviness lift. I began seeing Emily in December 2019. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2+ years with no luck. I cannot even begin to tell you how incredible these women are! My husband and I were trying to get pregnant for five years. I ended up having to go through IVF, but I don’t think we would have gotten pregnant without the support of Aphrodite Fertility. Emily was with me every step of the way, not only supporting with all fertility questions but helping me mentally cope with the ups and downs of the long infertility journey. I LOVE them! Emily has changed my life. I traveled from another state to see her and now have a friend doing the same. Long story short - I had a failed embryo transfer and a second surgery to remove endometriosis and was feeling hopeless. I started flying in to see Emily every week before another embryo transfer. I believe her acupuncture treatment, positive attitude, advice (hot water bottle, red light, nutrition recommendations, exercise, and more), and her answering all my questions and keeping me in a good headspace led me to a positive pregnancy test! I will continue to see her and keep recommending her to all of my friends who are on fertility journeys.

When I first found Aphrodite acupuncture, I didn’t know what to expect other than I was just going for treatment, but the staff here has gone above and beyond in helping me with my journey through pregnancy. My husband and I had been trying for almost 2 year with no luck. I started treatment at Aphrodite and they recommended a fertility tracker. I was already using a different app so I didn’t understand how their recommendation would be any different but I decided to purchase anyway. During this time I had also gone to see a fertility specialist since my AMH levels were extremely low for a 34 year old woman and we were considering IVF. Within a month of treatment at Aphrodite along with tracking my fertility we found out we were pregnant! You cannot understand how thankful I am for Ghoncheh for helping me along the way. She is so caring, understanding, and answered all of my crazy questions! She helped me understand what my levels meant every day with the fertility tracking. I cannot recommend this place enough. Ive been seeing Dr. Brigitte for several years now and recently was treated by her at Aphrodite. First of all, the clinic is adorable and so aesthetically pleasing. Her intake was thorough and she recommended several supplements and lifestyle changes I could make to optimize my hormone balance and health. I happened to be having a skin reaction to some antibiotics and she did a 30 minute Celluma treatment on the area which improved it by 70%. The treatment table was so comfortable and it was a nice change to have a practitioner address all of my questions and have the time to explain everything in detail!

I can’t express enough how truly grateful I am to have found Aphrodite. Going though IVF would have been totally different without weekly counseling from Brigit and Emily and someone to reach out to all of the time. I often felt like my doctors were trying to rush me through appointments. At Aphrodite, I always felt like they took all of my concerns seriously and truly cared about me. I’ve been going to Aphrodite for over 2 years now and have to say it is easily the best acupuncture clinic I’ve been to in San Diego. Not to mention it’s very cute and calming inside. I received my first acupuncture treatment at Aphrodite Acupuncture with Brigitte S. Ive been dealing with irregular spotting towards the end of my period and have a history of PCOS. The treatment was very comfortable and relaxing and Brigitte made a number of specific recommendations for lab work and cycle tracking in order to monitor my symptoms and optimize my reproductive health for the future. My cycles have become more regular with less luteal phase spotting since treatment. The space is so cute and feminine and was a great place to unwind in. I would definitely recommend Aphrodite Acupuncture to any woman looking for fertility treatments!

I have had the privilege of being a patient at Aphrodite Fertility since March of 2021 and this review is long overdue. Have you ever walked into a place and known you are EXACTLY where you were meant to be? The space is light and airy and the décor is immaculate. I instantly felt relaxed and at ease. Then I met owner and acupuncture extraordinaire, Emily. Emily is a mix between your therapist, fertility expert, and a close friend all rolled into one. From the moment she did my intake, I knew I was in the best of hands. I have had a very complex journey and throughout it at all, Emily has been a consistent and present figure. Emily encouraged me to dig when things weren’t adding up, and even diagnosed some of my issues long before my Doctor would test me. There is no eastern vs western medicine here, but rather a cohesive unit of people who have your best interest in mind. When Emily went out on maternity, I transitioned to Ghoncheh and I was in the best hands! Ghoncheh has one of the most calm and beautiful souls and I was so lucky to have her during my IVF journey. Anytime I was feeling stressed, had test results, needed advice on a treatment plan, I would message her. She was always able to help me come up with a solution and somehow make my troubles melt away. She is an incredibly talented human, and I am so happy I was able to work with her before she goes out on maternity!Over the past 18 months I have struggled and yet I somehow feel because of these woman and this practice, I have become the person I was meant to be: a fierce advocate for myself. Dr. Brigitte was able to fit me in last minute for some severe shoulder and neck pain I woke up with that morning and she was a life-saver. The treatment was so calming and immediately made me feel relaxed.
